Superb Location and Amenities: Situated in the charming town of Kilkelly, this hotel provides the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. The proximity to Ireland West Knock Airport makes it incredibly convenient, just like having a cozy nest right next to the runway!
Lack of Signage: The only minor issue I encountered was the absence of clear signage leading to the hotel from the main road or street. A sign to guide guests to this hidden gem would make finding it a breeze.

I had an early morning flight and couldn't have breakfast at No. 8, but the lovely host, Mary, offered me the use of the kitchen to make some toast and a cup of tea. It was a nice gesture and made me feel at home. The atmosphere at No. 8 was just like staying at your favorite aunt's house - cozy and welcoming. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, and the breakfast was delicious with a full English/Irish fry and a variety of options. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep. Geoffrey the dog was an adorable addition to the experience. No complaints whatsoever.
The room was a bit small, but it was perfectly fine for an overnight stay. The bathroom was located next to the room, and although it was clean and convenient, the teabags in the tea facility could have been individually wrapped for hygiene purposes.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was impeccable. The hotel facilities were excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the use of the kitchen to make a quick breakfast before our early morning flight. The location was convenient and easy to find, especially coming from Knock shrine. The breakfast provided was delicious, with a full English/Irish fry as well as a variety of fruits, cereals, and juices. The staff, especially Mary the hostess, were incredibly nice and accommodating. Geoffrey, the friendly and well-behaved dog, was an adorable addition to our stay.
Nothing to complain about at all.

My recent stay at No. 8 was delightful! I stayed there for three nights and felt right at home. The breakfasts were amazing, with a wide variety of options including a full English/Irish fry, fresh fruit, cereals, and juices. Mary, the proprietoress, was an absolute delight and made me feel so welcome. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept like a dream. All the facilities were excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the company of Geoffrey the dog, who was friendly and only barked once to say hello.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

We easily found the hotel from the nearby attraction we visited. It was a great location for our romantic escape. the breakfast was a delicious full English/Irish fry with a variety of options to choose from.
The room was a bit on the small side, but it was adequate for a short stay. the bathroom was located next to the room, which was slightly inconvenient.

The breakfast was absolutely incredible, with a mouthwatering full English/Irish fry and a wide variety of options like fruit, cereals, and juices. Mary, the proprietor, was an absolute delight and made us feel right at home. The bed was out of this world, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. All the facilities were top-notch, and Geoffrey the dog was an absolute star, only barking once to let you know he was there. Even though we had to leave early for our flight, Mary kindly offered us access to the kitchen for a quick slice of toast and provided fresh milk for a cup of tea. She even accommodated our last-minute request for an additional room, which we were extremely grateful for. The location was easy to find and perfect for an overnight stay near Knock shrine. The cleanliness of the bedroom and bathroom was impressive, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The whole atmosphere of the place was down-to-earth, like being in your favorite aunt's house. While not glamorous, it was just perfect. We would absolutely love to come back again. Thank you so much for an incredible stay!

The double room at No. 8 was just what we needed for our family getaway. It had a cozy feel with a wardrobe to neatly keep our things and heating to keep us warm. The flat-screen TV with streaming services was a bonus, perfect for family movie nights. And having our own private bathroom with both a bath and a shower was so convenient. Plus, the free toiletries were a lovely touch.
Personally, I found the electric kettle a bit small for making multiple cups of tea. But hey, that's just me!

The B&B could benefit from better signage to help guests find it more easily.
